The only way you could know if you missed the greatest opportunity in your life is to be dead and see what your life was. Then you would be able to see what you missed.
I don't see any other way in which to know this.
For example, not having married the richest man on earth might not necessarily be having missed the greatest opportunity in your life. How can you know that?
Maybe if you married him, he might have become jealous and killed you.
I'm getting so confused now. Perhaps I should stop.

I do not think that I have missed the greatest opportunity in my life, yet. So, I would not know if I could carry on or not. My guess is that I would move on and create another opportunity for myself. Opportunities are never lost, they are created by people who work hard at achieving their goals. Barely, I have made some big mistakes. But I carry on, because I gotta do it. I gotta make things happen, I can't sit around and wait on a miracle. Keep trying and don't give up. Try new things, experience life before you are in a black sealed up corpse bag with your last outfit on waiting to be driven from the morgue to the funeral parlor. I am gonna live for now, tomorrow ain't promised.

if you missed it how d'you know it was the greatest opportunity? its just a regret of what you think was the greatest opportunity. life is full of mysteries and surprises

yes i could go on . what choice do i have? it wasn't meant to happen in my life.i would just live every day as it comes. how do i know it was the greatest opportunity in my life when i don't know what tomorrow will bring yet?

You just move on. You learn from your mistakes, correct the ones that you can and get on with your life. Regret is a waste of time.
