There is a slot on your computer for an internet card and it sticks out about an inch out or so. My sticks out from the left because when I bought it, the computer didn't have a built in wireless card.

nloldw. (Not laughing out loud - don't worry.)

If your wireless adapter card is a USB device, then yes it is suppose to stick out the back of your machine. Or the side, if you have USB drives there - like mine does. However, my wireless adapter card (or the like) is built into my machine.

Hard to explain on the internet.

Go to Best buy tell them you are thinking about buying a computer and they will explain it to you.

Or bring your computer in to them and they will show you, all you have to do is wait a while in line at the geek squad counter.

Do, ask your brother, if there is no other help. Sooner you learn to use it the better.

Yes if you have a wireless Internet card you just slip it into the USB port in the back.

put it in one of the slots. it sticks out the back. if you have software, install it. if not, windows might automatically detect it. then you should be set. then you open control panel, network connections, right click on your network connection and it will detect the available connections.

Stick it in, switch it on, install the software, configure the connection if it wasn't configured before, enjoy.

There should be a slot somewhere on your computer, put the card in there.

OK if it's like my friend's laptop you plug one end into the wall & the other end into the laptop. This saves the battery. Hope this helps. ~;)
