If your ears are infected, the worst thing you can do is take them out. It can trap the infection inside of the hole because you seal off the drainage point.
You could of had an allergic reaction to the metal. If you got pierced at a piercing shop, they pierce you with surgical stainless steel, when you get pierced with a gun, its hard to say what metal you got pierced with. Sometimes they say its 'gold' but its only coated. If its coated, it can flake off in your ear. ( and cause infection)
This is also the reason not to get pierced with a gun.
When you get pierced with a gun they pierce you with jewlery that does not allow for very much swelling, thats why it hurt so much to get it out of your ear, this can cause pain, damage to the tissue and you can force the infecton deeper into your skin. Studs are very small and you should never be pierced with one.

Start doing sea salt soaks to help get rid of the infection.
•••How to do a sea salt soak•••
1.Wash your hands with an anti-Bacterial or antimicrobial liquid Soap/Wash.
2.Use a disposable cup to mix your sea salt solution. Or clean your cup very well with the anti-bacterial soap.
3.Mix 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt to 8 oz of warm water. (Distilled water if possible)
4.Pour the solution into a small shot glass and dip your earlobes in the solution.Or saturate a papertowel in the solution and hold it on your piercing. Do this for 10 minuites.
5.Rinse, and pat dry with a disposable paper towel.
Do not use alcohol,(unless instructed to by your doctor) as it can be harmful to the scar tissue. Alcohol is not intended for puncture wounds, do not use it unless a doctor says its safe for you as it can be harmful if it gets in your bloodstream.
See a doctor as soon as possable.

If you've already taken the earings out then don't count on them going back in -- unless you get them re-pierced.
If you go to the doctor they will tell you whether or not it is a serious infection that will require medication -- but honestly it just souns like your run-of-the-mill infection that simply spread from one piercing to the other. Polysporn or any other anti-bacterial cream should help with the infection. As for the swelling, a little ice does the trick.
Next time, when you get them pierced again, I would suggest investing in some Mecca cream -- it's what most piercing 'artists' will use and hand out. If the piercing was done with a needle, next time ask for titanium rings instead of the surgical steel. Often times people are allergic to one of the metals in it.
Don't let this deter you from piercing. We all go through this 'terrible' stage. It does go away... Honest

If she had accomplished it whilst i became into too youthful to merchandise, i'd be disillusioned as a results of fact i'd have scars from the holes from my ears being pierced. I comprehend you desiring human beings to renowned your toddler is a woman, yet maximum father and mom take care of that as quickly as their toddlers are very youthful and don't have adequate hair yet to truly distinguish. evaluate that your daughter would be high-quality with having pierced ears whilst she gets older, yet in spite of this, she won't, yet would then have scars. Soak your earlobes in hydrogen peroxide for about 10 minutes each.
Then put Neosporin on your earlobes (triple-antibiotic cream is just as good). Then put Neosporin on your earings and on the back of your earrings, and put them in. Keep on wearing your earrings so they don't close up. Also, make sure that you're not allergic to the metal on your earrings.
Repeat this daily or even twice a day for a couple of weeks until it all clears up.

You may be allergic to the earrings. You need to get them pierced with 24 kt gold earrings. I had the same problem you're having.
Remove the earrings, let them heal. Clean them daily. You'll just have to get them re-pierced with better earrings!

What are they made of? You should use hypo-allergenic earrings only. If you have a gold allergy( don't laugh, it can happen),try stainless, but stay far away from cheapie earrings.
