No weapons of mass destruction have been found. They were either destroyed by Saddam in the 1990's (he was required to pass strict U.N. inspections) or they were moved altogether. It is common knowledge that Cheney pressured the CIA to cook up false intelligence on this subject. This was documented in a PBS Frontline two hour special about 2 months ago. Nobody in the CIA ever went along with Cheney's motives behind closed doors but they were forced to publicly back him up. Cheney created his own branch of intelligence with a couple dozen men of his choosing. It was separate from the CIA. The reason why the invasion of Iraq happened was because of a neo-conservative think tank headed by Cheney in the early 1990's. I cannot recall the exact document they drafted up but I believe it was along the lines of something like A New American Frontier. These documents show what their plan was for the newly aligned world without the Soviet Union. This was also documented in the PBS Frontline special. It promoted tactics such as preemptive strikes on nations that were unfriendly towards American foreign policy. In other words, using offense as defense. And Iraq just happened to be one of the nations to take the beating. Iran could very well be next on the agenda. Or Syria. And with the way things are going lately, Pakistan is not entirely out of the question. Although the chances of an attack on Pakistan are quite slim. We need Pakistan's assistance in a number of areas. Especially in Bush's War On Terror.

Look they're still looking for the WMD. It's taking a bit of time because they could be hidden anywhere so they have to blow up the whole of Iraq to find them. Do you know how long that will take and how much money? A long time and lots and lots of money. Perhaps some kind country to do is a favor and place some WMDs in a conspicuous place in the desert with a sign saying Iraq's WMD. We could then retrieve them and everyone could go home saying that the mission had been accomplished. Amybe they could let that hound Bill O'Reilly sniff around and find them so that he could perpetuate his fantasies of a just war.

Till now not even a sindle wepon of mass destruction has been recovered. The reasons for the war may be of two reasons
1. For oil
2. To protect the Iraqi citizens from the dictatorship of Saddam Hussien.
But none can be clearly justified by any one except Mr George Bush

Technically we at the instant are not at conflict and haven't any wrestle troops there. only approximately 50,000 advisers. If that appears like lots, it is, yet once you wreck it, you acquire it. the genuine reason we went to conflict in Iraq became into that we nevertheless needed payback for 9/11 and aside from the Al Qaeda human beings we could no longer discover, Sadaam became into on the spectacular of our 'enemies' checklist. i'm specific it became into profoundly embarrassing to Bush to learn that there have been no longer any WMDs there, yet the two events had supported the invasion with out any extreme certainty-checking, on the muse of defective intelligence, actual planted with the aid of certainly one of Iraq's enemies (which became into no longer purely Israel, yet rather lots all and sundry in the middle East). The long extreme priced occupation of Iraq after the particularly effectual invasion would be something we would somewhat forget approximately, yet do no longer shed any tears for Saddam.

Our reason for going to war ws the hunt for WMD. Some were found buried in the desert, however, they were very old (from the last desert war) and were probably never to be used again.

But while we were there, we kicked a lot of *** and knocked Saddam out of power while we were at it. Then, crap hit the fan and everything is all screwed up. therefore, we can't leave yet.

like it or leave it...it's the way it is.

No never did and as far as they could tell there had not been any for at least 10 years maybe longer. Bush knew this when he went to war to find them. The blood of all those people is on his hands and like Pilot he can not wash them clean.

I think one of the major reasons we went to war was to keep the violence that these terrorists bring off of our soil and away from our home. That's what my brother died for and that's what other soldiers I have spoken to have felt about it all.

Also, I have heard that they found that Saddam was in the process, but I don't suppose the media (which will say anything to make a buck) would heavily report that, because they would then have to put their foot in their mouths.

We didn't find the weapons themselves, we found the tools they were going to use to make the weapons. That was the reason Bush gave, was to stop Saadam from blowing things up. I'd say he's been successful, as S.H. is now locked up awaiting trial for his crimes on humanity.

We found old poison gas rockets, that's about it. We had more reasons than that, but none of them were good enough to rush into it. We could have waited. But oh well, no use crying over spilled milk. Only thing we can do now is to try to make things right, and get out.

Yes, there were some WMD that were found, but the media downplayed it because it didn't fit their agenda. There is a lot of good being done in Iraq which you might hear about if you asked the average Iraqi their opinion about pre- and post-Hussein.
