They are great. In fact, they're within the top 10 in J.D. Powers. Just below Acura, Honda and Toyota. The XJ, XK, S-type, however, X-type still is a working project.
(By the way, there are about 40 selling car manuf. in the US, and 50 worldwide).
Defenitely, the mystic of the "owning two Jags..." is done. The 70's and 80's era are long gone. I guess, Ford is treating and dumping money into the Jags like Toyota is on the Lexus program.
Jags are still being design, made and built in England with British designers and Ford's involvement is restricted to financially and upper management imputs.
I worked for them. In fact, when I had a weird problem with one, an engineer from the factory would call me directly and we would talk, so changes could be implemented immediatly and changed made in the line assy. very impressive.
Even the leather of their seats, are specially made from fenceless areas, so no imperfections were imprinted on them from the cows scratching themselves on the fences.
Defenitely, a different Kitty cat.
