Actually the top speed is not 65 MPH. and in some areas of Kansas, and other "straight road" states there is no speed limit.

Texas just changed parts of I-10 in west Texas to 80 mph.
They'd make less money on speeding tickets if we could not go over the limit.

So cops can still have a job writing speeding tickets. Besides alot of the reason people buy those kinds of cars are bragging rights to there buddies and the compines who make them know horse power and speed sells.

Because that way it only uses half of your cars possible speed...if you were using your cars maximum speed all the time then it would be bad for your car and your car wouldn't last as long

Your question doesn't make sense. Why do they sell cars that go over 70mph? Owner's prorrogative.
