THE PARENTS OF THE CHILD HAVE TO SIGN POWER OF ATTORNEY OVER TO YOU. EVERY STATE HAS DIFFERENT PAPER WORK CONCERNING POWER OF ATTORNEY. SEEK OUT THE PROPER PAPER WORK FOR YOUR STATE. HAVE AN ATTORNEY DRAW UP THE PROPER FORMS HAVE THE KIDS PARENTS SIGN TO GIVE YOU POWER OF ATTORNEY OVER THE CHILD'S DAILY NEEDS AND YOU SHOULD BE SET. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU HAVE CUSTODY OF THE CHILD IT JUST MEANS THAT IN THE ABSENCE OF THE PARENTS YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE DECISIONS FOR THE CHILD.
