Apparently so. According to the library I can't rent books because I never returned their hooked on phonics seven years ago. I sure as heck don't remember that because at that time I was already a high school graduate who knew how to read and write properly.
I think they're just trying to get money out of me and make me think I rented it and forgot because I hadn't been there in 7 years.

I didn't need it, nor did any of my classmates because we had school sanctioned punishments.
If we failed to learn that week's speling assignment, we were nailed to the front of the school with two-penny nails through our jackets. Other students were invited to throw lunch leftovers at us.
If we failed to learn two weeks' worth of lessons, we had to polish the halls with a toothbrush and massage the Principal with soft butter.
Yes, things were different in those days.

i didn't use that. when in kindergarden, my teacher sent me to the highest reading group for second graders
