Why big brother should be banned!?

Anyone agree with me that big brother should be cancelled?
The show is the most boring, predictable, mind numbing, perverted and IQ draining show on air!
The name of game (from what I've heard) is to now pick someone whos gay and then a homophobe and stick them in a "prison cell" for a few weeks and we can all sit at home and watch what happens as though they are lab rats!
To the people who watch them, especially the ones who watch it at night while they are just sleeping. STOP IT! Go outside, go for a walk, read a book! After all, you are just sitting in your home, watching people in a home! How daft is that?!
I'm sick of seeing people like jade goody (who is now a millionaire! WHY?) in every newspaper and on tv. People who don't know they're **** from they're elbow are now celebrities! On what talent or skill did they get there?

you make many good points, but in theory, the same can be said about all TV. I do not watch TV to get immersed into deep thought. If I wanted to do that, I would read a book or something.

MInd numbing programs may offend or upset you, but they have a good place in the world. Many people wish to come home from a long day at work and just sit and zone out for a few hours, and if thats a problem for you, than go watch lifetime or something along those lines.

I dont like big brother myself, but it has its place. the TV world is full of garbage, thats its success

Firstly there really is no need to wath it if you think so strongly about it. Personally although I agree with the principle of what your saying, I am an addicted viewer and I thoroughly enjoy the hour highlights. People need to take it for what it is , abit of light entertainment!!

When you look at the psychology of bb it gets abit more interesting. It's not about wathching people living in a house, its about seeing how different people react and relate to eachother.

And when it comes to Jade Goody being a millionaire - fair play to the girl!!! lets be honest shes not the brightest spark but she has got a business head and she has done well for herself! and honestly with the exception of perhaps carol voderman all celebrities are just people who have got lucky - very few would be doing well financially if they had not got a lucky break!!! so I dont think we can blame bb for producing z list celebs!! The media and the publics interest does that!

Lets be honest aren't you just a little jelous of her? I know I am!! I's get my kebab out for her money!!! (joke!!) (any one who watched Jade in bb will get it)

After watching one obnoxious episode, I came to the conclusion that watching paint dry would be a preferable occupation. I felt the volume of my grey matter decrease rapidly, watching random people having inane conversations. I fully agree with you and suspect that anyone who has participated in big brother is mentally/emotionally scarred for the rest of their life.

I am enjoying Big Brother All Stars.....is this the one you are speaking of? I don't subscribe to the 24 hour feed though and don't participate in any of the polls or texting. I find Will and Boogey funny, James conniving (but love it) and Janelle hysterical pulling one over on all the "big boys"........So maybe I am bored, but not when this show airs. Oh, and BTW, on ALL Stars Marcelles is gay and I don't see any homophobes in the house............

I don't understand why they call things like that reality TV. In reality nothing like that could ever happen. If we truly live in a real world where reality exists, why do stations put such shows on, and why do people watch them? This is beyond me.

Hey Dude If you don't Like it there is this thing called a remote maybe you heard of were you can press a button and change a channel. So if you don't like it CHANGE THE CHANNEL I LIKE THE SHOW IT. I RATHER WATCH IT THEN SOME OF THESE OTHER SUMMER SHOWS

yes every night when i sit down to watch the highlights i rant for an houur about how rubbishy it has become and then i remeber that it hasn't really deteriorated at all.....i'll have to watch big brothers big mouth to be sure what i think of it all
