I've gone through 2 full term pregnancies and never had abnormal pains until labor...nausia is normal, but if anyone is having pains, especially in the 'early days' of pregnancy, there may be a problem

I've never had abnormal pains in my abdomen, and I had five kids. But I sure had morning sickness - all day. With my last kid, I craved lemons for the first three months. I would eat half a dozen at once. And I drank buckets of coffee with no ill effects. But in the second trimester I couldn't get near coffee or lemons - heartburn city. I wondered if maybe I didn't have enough acid in my stomach to digest food properly. Lo and behold, shortly after that I read an article about a study that had been done by a group of doctors who said - are you ready for this? "One of the biggest reasons women have morning sickness in the first trimester of pregnancy is because they don't have enough acid in their stomachs to digest their food!"

The pains are usually from implantation, or from changes in your uterus. The vomiting is a side effect of one of the many hormones your body makes when pregnant.

The body is adjusting to a NEW being so it is normal.
