I would buy her a scrapbook - and then write a really nice note and tell her that you would like the two of you to fill it with your special memories. Eventually the scrapbook will coome back to you and you will have something to treasure!

My mom just turned 53 and I got her a ring from a local jewlery artist, trendy and fun... to remind her she's still young ;)

a trip......If your mom likes to travel, that's always a nice present...and it could be to a spa or something...doesn't have to be anything too hectic
