According to one expert, yes. Women who have infrequent sex (you were temporarily in this group) have drier vaginas. The friction during sex irritates the membrane leaving it vulnerable to infection. Plus, the proximity of the anus to the urinary meatus increases the chances of bacteria being transferred from the perirectal area to the urinary meatus. This is according the one expert.

yes it can happen. If you havent been having sex for awhile, and then you all of a sudden are. A bladder infection is just when bacteria gets pushed too far when you have sex. Its really easy to clear with some anit-biotics. Make an appt with your gyno and in the meantime get some vitamin C.

I wouldn't say that too much sex is a cause for Bladder Infections or even Urinary Tract Infections. Have you tried urinating before and after sex? Doing so after will help flush out the urethra, which in women is much shorter than men. So the distance between the bladder and the outside world is much shorter in women than in men, making women more succeptable to UTI's. Urinating post-coitus, would help flush out anything that may be lingering in your urethra, and in doing so would help to lower the risk of Urinary Tract Infections.

Yes it has something to do with the friction causing the area to become iritated then infected, are you sure it's a bladder infection or do you just gotta pee plenty?
It could just be in the track, but if you don't treat it it could reach your bladder.
You need anti-biotics.

yes, when you have sex bacteria gets pushed up into your bladder...if you haven't had sex for a while your body isn't used to the bacteria and can definately cause infection. in the future drink plenty of water and urinate within 20 minutes or so of having sex to flush out the bacteria before it cause an infection.

No you can't get a bladder infection from too much sex, they are caused by chemical imbalances in the body. (The wrong food and drinks.

I used to get them all the time from too much sex. One to twice a month. But then I got prego and having an infant in the house fixed that problem. Good luck.
