Couldn't agree more, they just want it to be their way, and they victimize themselves to try to get it accomplished.

incase you weren't aware, christianity used to be the minority religion. before it came, many other religions including paganism, which was hijacked by the christians for their own ends, were; and some still are; more widespread and more widely believed. take easter for example, a pagan fertility festival, hijacked to become the supposed time of the death and re-birth of christ. christianity has been forced upon many cultures throughout the world, i don't remember native americans trying to force the pilgrims to believe in animal spirits, which is a damn sight more believable than 1 god creating the whole of the universe. maybe there is a god out there, but you can't prove he/she/it exists; and i can't prove they don't; which is the same as believing there is a teapot orbiting the sun, you can't see it but you can't prove it's not there either.

Atheists do not push a lack of religion down your throat. I have never heard of a single case where they tried to get a religious symbol removed from private property like a shopping mall. I have only heard of it in places like a town hall or court house or some other government owned property. The government is not meant to promote any religion, regardless of the majority. Many of our ancestors came to this country because they wanted to escape a religious majority forcing their beliefs on a religious minority.
If you have any evidence of people pushing to have religious symbols removed from private property, please post a link. If not, please follow the link below for a good explanation of the constitutional implications of religious symbols (especially christian).

Atheism being a religion itself is still "under construction". Alot of young and sometimes older more ignorant atheists feel that it is necessary to enlighten others to the "truths" they themselves have come to believe based on their personal opinion and science. Simply put most atheists don't realize that they are in a sense preaching their beliefs.

I've never seen an atheist at the train station telling me God isn't real, whereas every time I go there, there's a christian lady screaming and handing me pamphlets telling me to accept Jesus, she's told me that I will burn in hell for my beliefs...

I'm atheist, but I never really try and "convert" my religious friends. Everyone's free to believe in what they want, and as soon as people realize it's not worth fighting over, the better.
