I got my nose pierced about a month ago. Every time I barely bump it or sleep wrong it gets the "bump" that pimply looking thing then it goes away with time and comes right back. Any suggestions on how to speen the healing, or any kind of jewelry that might help? They used a screw instead of a loop!

•Sea Salt Soaks are still the way to go!

•How to do a sea salt soak•
1.Wash your hands with an anti-Bacterial or antimicrobial liquid Soap/Wash.
2.Use a disposable cup to mix your sea salt solution. Or clean your cup very well with the anti-bacterial soap.
3.Mix 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt to 8 oz of warm water. (Distilled water if possible)
4.Pour the solution into a small shot glass and dip a piece of peper towel in the solution. Place the paper towel on the piercing ( only on the outside) Do this for 10 minutes once a day.
5.Rinse, and pat dry with another disposable paper towel.

•Do not rotate, twist it or turn the piercing.
•Don't take the piercing out! If you do, you will be cutting off the drainage for the infection and the infection can get trapped inside.

In cases of infection its always best to see a doctor.
Do not use alcohol,(unless instructed to by your doctor) as it can be harmful to the scar tissue. Alcohol is not intended for puncture wounds, do not use it unless a doctor says its safe for you as it can be harmful if it gets in your bloodstream.

Those Bubbles or bumps, are signs of irritation. Stop touching it, playing with it and rotating it. Dont change your jewlery untill the bump goes away.
Be careful not to get exfoliating cleansers, acne medication, makeup, sunscream, bronzer or anything else inside the piercing.

you got a screw instead of a hoop? there's your problem right there. the screw is stretching the hole which is trying to heal...and that's why you have an infection. take it out and put in a ring with a captive bead instead. you can turn the ring when you clean it...which gets out all the gross stuff.

don't use alcohol to clean it either. it will only aggravate the piercing. use an antibacterial soap...dial antibacterial works great.

ps: if the person who did your piercing didn't tell you any of this..then he/she needs to find a new line of work.

Are you using the cleaning products and putting the alcohol on it every night like you're supposed to? Those are to help wash away potential infection.
