I have a friend that I work with and she introduced me to her Freind who I thought looked really good. Then My freind told me the Other girl was Gay so I was like eh.......she's not that hot so no biggey. My homegirl got mad and was like she was hot a few seconds ago and now cause she's Gay she's not that hot.

I figured if the girl isn't attracted to me becasue of my Gender why should I even be remotley attracted to her. It sounds immature but whats the point in telling her she looks good, aren't I just asking to get dissed.

I don't think I was wrong, but it seems to be one of the many Divides we have between Gay people and Straight People.

You're just immature and insecure. Whether the girl was gay ro str8 she was still hot in your mind. You're just p*ssed because this hot girl won't be giving you the time of day. Can't hav'em all dude.

Just because I'm gay doesn't mean that I can't look at a guy and think/say "He's really attractive!" Or "He's really handsome!". I don't want to sleep with the guy, and won't have romantic feelings towards him, but I can appreciate beauty in all of it's forms.

It's kind of like going to an art gallery. Just because you aren't an artist doesn't mean you don't know what looks good.

And everyone enjoys a compliiment. Just because she doesn't want to get with you doesn't mean that she doesn't deserve to be told that she looks nice, or what a great outfit.

When you see your sister or your mom or a close platonic female friend, you don't really feel any "attraction", do you? But you do notice when they look good. Why can't this be the same? What does attraction have to do with how nice someone looks?

Just because peole are gay doesn't mean people can't identify opposite sex people as hot and vice versa. I can easily recognize a hot girl while checking out the guys

Do you look at male movie stars and judge which ones are handsome and which are not? Of course you do. Does that make you gay? No, but then again, you seem unusually interested in the subject, and unusually defensive.

In any case, if you answer this honestly, you have answered your own question..

I think in general we can admire the beauty in others. I think men can see another guy is handsome, and a woman can tell another woman is attractive. If we couldn't, how would we estimate these qualities in ourselves?

Being aware that someone is beautiful/handsome doesn't indicate your orienation.

There is nothing wrong with that. I find men attractive to look at. I've told men that I think that they are handsome. It just doesn't mean that I want them. So I think flattering someone is very nice. Just be yourself and respect who they are...

Of course.
I can recognize a pretty woman as well as anyone else. That doesn't make me attracted to her.

Where do you think all the pageant judges come from? They certainly aren't all straight females! :o)

Yes. I'm a lesbian, never felt any sexual desire for men, but Clive Owen is a gorgeous man. I could watch him all day. As long as he had his clothes on. There's nothing more ridiculous than a naked man.

Although I only find men attractive sexually, I have no problem recognizing and verbalizing the beauty of certain woman. Doesn't make me bi, doesn't make me confused either.
