What do I do, my ex owes me about $300 and he still has a bunch of my furniture and DVDs? We were together for a long time but we have been broken up for over a year. I want my stuff back. He transferred the cable service that was in my name to his new address. I have since disconnected it but now the balance is in my name. We also had a credit card that has a $3000 balance. Should I ask him to help pay for that? So far I'm the only one making payments. What should I do? Should I sue him or not? Does your ex owe you money? And if so, how much?

I will never see the money my ex owes me ... I trusted him to pay it and he never did, and now it's too late for me to take him to Court. If you have already given your ex a chance to pay up, I'd take him to Court for it. If he gets away with doing it to you, he'll try to do it to others as well.

You could take him to small claims court. I hope you have paper proof of that cable bill issue, because without proof, you don't have a legal leg to stand on. But by all means, if you have enough proof that you think you can win, go for it. If you do win, and he doesn't pay, then I think you can go to court again and have his wages garnished.

My ex owes me 8,600.00......that was over ten years ago...I had a judgment against him, but I never could collect it and now the time limit has expired.
Yes, you can take him to small claims court, but you have to PROVE your case....good luck.
