Probably. In the eyes of the RIAA, you're breaking the law and if they exert enough legal muscle they can nab you. The first answerer is correct in that you're likely to end up with spyware on your computer anyway, but you can get around that using a program called "bufferzone"

u can get fined many thousands of dollars if u get caught downloading a whole bunch of music/ videos/movies for free like dat and be careful of nasty viruses

i heard that u can pretty much get away with music but not with movies. you can get in trouble if you use it for illegal purposes
