hey cool i will be 15 in october, my mom actually doesn't let me wear that much. but on normal days for like school i wear eyeliner black or brown but i put it on lightly like one or two applications back and forth and that is it. some days i wear mascara but not over the top just a little, i only put it on the bottom lashes for special occasions. and eyeliner again, go a little crazy and get like blue or purple or green or gold, but never put red on, it looks like you have a stye or pink eye. now for eyeshadow, go with the colors that accentuate your eye color like pinks and muaves go with lighter eyes, and blues, purples and greys look better with darker eyes. never put on more than like one layer of foundation, and only when you need it. lipstick or lip gloss, always light colors for regular days and like glossy and sparkley glosses put maybe one or two layers otherwise it just looks bad leave more strongly colored lipstick and glosses for special occasions. even just a glossy chapstick is nice, i prefer lip smakers, good brand, if you have anymore ?'s email me at iluvpeoplecuzpeopleluvme here at yahoo okay? cuz i could go on forever and lend out a lot of make up help even if i am only going into the 10 grade!!! have fun with my tips!=)

Hi, Jackie,

You have a very understanding Mom, and you are obviously a very smart lady to not want to wear too much! As a makeup artist, I would like to pass along a few ideas.........
First: Take care of your skin with good skincare and sun protection! There are many excellent moisturizers (oil-free and moisture infusing) that contain sunscreen plus gives a little coverage and glow that will allow you to do three things at once: Moisurize, protect, and cover! Can't beat that!
Second: Decide what feature on your face is your personal best...........is it your eyes? Your lips? Your smile? Play that one feature up, and make that your focus. Usually women pick their eyes. Starting to wear makeup is really fun. Be versitile. But subtle is the key. Mascara is usually a must. A thin line of eyeliner on top of your eyes in either brown, or soft black, or a grey depending on your coloring with make your eyes appear larger, more awake, and put a sparkle in your eye. A light color in peach or champaine color eyeshadow on the lid, or even a one-step bronzer that you can use on your crease and your cheeks for a natural glow is nice. Finish off with a neutral tone lipliner and gloss. Pink tones are nicer if you have pink or cool undertones in your skin, and warm tones are more natural for golden undertones. Most people with warm understones tan easy, and cool tones burn first. If you want more help, just email me and describe your coloring, or shoot me a pic and I can give you better suggestions. You can also check out my website that is listed. danadelikat@yahoo.com.
Happy Birthday in December!

A huge mistake I see young teens wearing is heaps of foundation...I remember one of my friends had acne and she sould cake it on but it actually looked worse. Whatever you do, be as natural as possible and you will be the classiest of your age. Mascara is a godsend, as is lipgloss...though if you want tha tsomething extra, I advise you buy a multi-purpose product in a sheer and natural tone that can be used on the eyes, lips and cheeks. Then when you want to be dresy you can go all out!

Get an appointment for a teen make over at Macy's Clinique counter. They will show you appropriate day-wear makeup and how to apply it for your age group.
Mostly they may stress a cleansing program for you ( they have a wonderful three product program) because at your age having a clean glowing face is most important.

dont wear too much makeup! i'm 16, and i wear my makeup natural, mascara or eye liner, not both, a bronzey brown eye shadow, and gloss. girls who wear too much makeup look like clown and you dont want to look like that! girls look so much better when they let thier natural beauty show through. Go light on the makeup, you probably dont need it anyway!

some lip gloss, eye liner, mascara, and mabye a litle bit of foundation if you have some pimples you want to cover up.mabye a little bit of eye shadow. but earth tones like browns and lite pinks. nothing like blue or purple though.sometimes a little blush helps too.

good luck finding the right style :)

When I was 15, I wore eyeliner, and lip gloss...(sometimes lipstick!) Keep it simple and it'll be cute. My niece, who just turned 15, prefers lip gloss, mascara, and sometimes...puts the glittery shimmer on her eyelids. Whichever you choose, you can check out beauty websites, to get some ideas. translucent powder, lip gloss, mascara, very little blusher, make sure u get a huge round brush for that, the flat ones suck, oh oh and mattifier from the body shop, makes the nose totally unshiny and it's clear gel like but doesn;t make u feel like ur wearing any make up. oh and always put moisturiser b4 u apply anything. and if ur using those old sch metal eyelash curlers heat them up for like 20secs with a hair dryer b4 using makes it curl better but careful not to burn ur eye lids. hope that helps. =)

15 huh? I would suggest you not to wear make up, you're young and you might look better without make up. I've always preffered women who wear little or no make up at all. leave the make for when your older and need it.
