I have tried everything. Currently i have my site. http://www.books4sale.co.nr and also still working on http://books4sale.atspace.com and im even working on another one.

Basically i want to sell used books. I am now thinking about replacing my site with a forum. This way i can have every book as a topic and links, etc.

Is this a good idea? My main reason for this is because i only know html. Not php. I need quite a bit of pages, and also a contact form or a place for contact.

Would a forum be a good idea?
What other ideas do you have?

Nah. Don't use a forum. Only warez sites use forums. Cause they need to discuss about the software or report broken links. If you are looking for a contact form, you can get one from http://www.hotscripts.com . When you search for "forms", you will first see sponsored links. Those are not free, so if you don't want to buy them, then just keep clicking next until you come upon a free one.

And if you want me to re-design your site for FREE. Please contact me. I am just looking for something to add to my portfolio. I will also get you a good free web host where you don't have to show any "Hosted by Free-Webs" or similar messages. Visit my site http://www.radongraphix.com for my contact info. :D

I woudn't feel confident buying a text book from a forum.

What you could do... since you only know HTML,
Put all the pictures of the books up, then have them e-mail which book they want, their offer, shipping arrangement.
First one in your inbox, gets the book and that picture gets deleted ro whatever. That's you're simplest and quickest since schol starts soon.

In your spare time leanr other programming laguages
Good Luck!

dear m'lady,

go to joomla.org get their content management software you can administrate via the web once installed. it also supports e-commerce if you want to sell your used books. you'll need a web host that can support PHP/MYSQL 4.0+

I know how to do this and if you need help installing it and locating a good web host provider for a mere few bucks a month.

kind regards,
ben

This is actually off from your question, but have you thought of selling those used books on Amazon.com? It's easy and you don't even need to have your own site!
