I don't know about "the best" because people are different and each song may be special to someone for whatever reason...but "Stairway to Heaven" is THE classic from led zep I think...and one of the "best"/most popular classic rock songs ever.

Stairway to heaven. I was in boot camp when it came out. We were only give 10 minute breaks twice a day. I heard it like an angel from outside the fence of an insane place.
