I don't know about those schools in particular. Some schools offer a bachelor's degree in education for early education or elementary education. Generally if you want to teach in middle school or high school you need a major in the subject you are going to teach, and you take additional ed classes to get your teaching certificate.

Here in Massachusetts, if you go to a public college or university and want to become a teacher, you have to have a "real" major - there is no education major for any undergrads.

I don't think there are any schools that offer an education bachelor's degree that is not meant for teachers. But, as you've discovered, you can get a master's or doctorate in education. Some of these programs are for teachers, others are for people who want to do research in education.

usally you would go to a four year college as a major in the subject you want to teach. Example you would be a bio major with a concentration on education. your degree would be in biology/educational. then you can go on for your masters.
