All people have the inclination to do wrong.. Including cheating. However, not every man has the inclination to cheat since that may not be their particular weakness. To some men the thought of it could be very distasteful and wrong while to another they may think it's natural.

People on a whole can and do have other inclinations that are destructive. But you are definitely correct about choice. It is the fact that we have the choice to do good or evil..

I think men think about what it would be like to have sex with every attractive woman they see, whether it is on TV or walking down the street. However, most of them realize that it isn't something they have to act on and if they have a good woman in their lives, they sure better realize that it isn't an option to cheat. I guess some men out there haven't learned that yet, but there are so many choices, choices, choices!!!

True, perhaps.

Some have theorized that in the early days of humans on this planet, well before the institution of marriage, human society took the structure of the non-human primate groups where there was an Alpha male who had complete sexual access to all the females in the group.

As time went on, the dominance of the Alpha males waned and all males in the group had such access to as many females in the group as would have them. This arrangement, as it were, ensured that there was a distribution of the different gene sets in the group.

However it might have happened, this gave way to a more monogamous arrangement. Perhaps women began to have more influence over the males in the group as civilization took hold.

Nevertheless, the tendency of the males to spread their spoor among multiple females remained. A biological/cultural artifact which never went away.

Obviously very strongly embedded in the genetic memory of human not quite on the level of "fight or flight" but nonetheless undeniable.

So it became a behavioral choice on the part of the civilized man. If he was faithful to his mate, he would choose to remain so and not cheat.

If presented with a strong enough temptation, he might allow the age-old instincts to take over.

It all comes down to the character of the man.

And how much he is committed to his spouse.

I don't think that it is just men that cheat. Women do to. I also don't think that it is just natural. I believe that it is a lifestyle that cheaters create for themselves (telling themselves that it is okay to have no respect for the person they are cheating on), or possibly the way they were raised, not knowing what is right from wrong. Cheating is wrong in every way. If someone feels like they have to cheat they need to get out of the relationship they are in first.

We make choices in life every day. The choice to cheat is a horrbile one- but people do it everyday. I do not think there is a natural inclination. If the person make that choice a lot- than they make that choice a lot.

Cheating is a choice that men and women have. I guess they do it to show off and deep down hoping they won't get caught. Because when they do get caught they are All so sorry, and will never do it again. I would not forgive them right away but let them suffer for a long while.

False.
It's entirely possible that some men were raised by a father or mother who cheated on their spouse and they grow up aware of it happening and don't see anything wrong with it.
If someone is happy - they don't cheat !
