Ok what does us being in Iraq have to do with our freedom???? i don't get that like yes they are fighting for America but they are fighting for Iraqi freedom who as far as i can tell don't want to be free or want our help are we just wasting our money, time, energy, and life trying to safe a lost cause????

And another then why do we have to stand up and remember the people over in Iraq fighting for our freedom, they are not fighting for our freedom we are already free, if you want us to solute them just say remember the people in Iraq dying for some crappy nations freedom who don't want out bloody help and would rather kill us all then be free.

Also the Bomb threat on the planes was a stupid idea and you can tell they are slipping did they really think people were just going to watch them make a bomb on the plane thats how you can tell Osama is dead or had nothing to do with that because that was beyond stupid but whatever

Tell me what you think of it

Yes the soldiers are the greatest, ( I never blame the soldiers for doing thier duty - it's the leaders who are not responsible enough to use these people with the utmost wisdom) and i wish the best for our soldiers-
But i understand the idea here-

Iraq has voted and Iran won! they now have thier very own Islamic Republic- that whats they want- it isn't "freedom" in the american sense- but at least they were free to decide for themselves.
It's NOT a democracy over there, so "freedoms on the march" yes AWAY from the mideast- and it seems like if the US is drained of resources much more- it will be on the march AWAY from America too...

lets not pour good resources after bad losses.

Iraq is a complicated subject. Hussain was bleeding the folks
of food, medicine, and other amenities by robbing the food for
oil program with the help of many corrupt U.N. officials and others
They were slowly murdering 25 million Iraqis except for Hussains
chosen few. He was also a loose cannon trying to invade his
neighbors for no real purpose since Iraq has 1/10 of the worlds
oil reserves. The U.S. tried to keep them from a civil war, but
are now stuck in the middle of it. Anyway we go now will be considered unethical and irresponsible.
As far as London bomb threats go - dont think that this is the end of it and maybe we will get some good practice from it - we are in the beginning of WW III. A very different kind of war than we
are used to. Dont be swayed by liberal nonsence - this is serious
and will likely get more serious.

First, I would like to say this is my opinion, and yes I do support our troops-just not the cause.

In my opinion, war is war. There usually isnt a specific reason for them and people die because it's a war. Alot times governments like to "justify" the reason but in war there are so many other reasons and motives as to why it is happening, that it is just easier to say "freedom" and continue until the underlying reason is revealed or there arent anymore resources.

There is really no such thing as freedom either. According to m-w.com, liberation from slavery or restraint or from the power of another. But it says nothing about that power being good or bad, so thats just something to think about.

And the bomb threat. Yes it should be taken serious because we should always try to prevent things that we know we can avoid, such as another castrophe. However, the idea of liquid explosives is not a bad one, there were many details that the immediate media did not reveal, you might wanna research that.

In conclusion, war is war. Terroristic acts are just that, acts committed to cause fear and chaos.

well for the question about iraq you have to go back in history when america helped saddam and gave him weapons to fight with iran because what happened in 1979 and then after 7 years of fighting with iran they got no where and then if you remember in 1979 i think the problem is bigger than you are describing you have to look at the whole middle east rather than just looking at iraq i think if you need answer to your question you probably need to read a lot of books

for the last part of the question if you remember how the same talibans or al qaeda or what not defeated russia in 1991 they were supported by americans and then left alone so you can figure out the rest if you are smart

The soldiers are doing their jobs. But it is so that certain people can line their pockets with more money not for anyones freedom. We would not have to help them start anything had we not started a false war. Now the people there are pissed because they have their way of life they do not neccisarily want ours.

the Iraqi's are involved in a civil war they are killing themselves and we are getting caught in the cross fire. if we pull out of Iraq now their will be a full blown civil war and the chances of Iran invading are great if we leave now. this started as one thing and turn into something totally different. it's too late for us to leave now we must stay the course until this crap is settled.

Sadly, there are some people who actually believe that Hussein would have taken over America if we hadn't ousted him. Sad but true.

However, regardless of whether you agree or not, the soldiers are doing their jobs, what they are trained to do, so you should support them.

No, unfortunately it seems as though both the Iraqis and American and British soldiers are dying for our OIL not our freedom.

I n one way I think they are but in another way I think they are not because they sent people from irak to put bobms on subways planes or buses and that is not right either because they are trying to killed us too.

our soldiers, as it turns out, are not fighting for our freedom, or if they are they are losing

the more they fight, the less freedom we have (no liquids or books on airplanes now for example)

the whole "war on terror" plan has been a complete fiasco
