Their Jesus favors Democracy as a form of government despite the fact that Jesus was entirely apolitical.

Their Jesus believes in tough punishment for criminals, depiste the fact that Jesus stressed forgiveness instead of the Old Testament "eye for an eye" mentality.

And their Jesus apparently likes the idea of money being spent on an industrial military machine, whereas the real Jesus had this thing about caring for the poor.

If the real Jesus were here today, I have a sneaky suspicion that he'd meet the same fate as he did the first time around, only this time it would be at the hands of those "Compassionate Conservatives".

Christ would not have sat by the current administration, But I don't think that saying he would have been liberal is accurate either? As liberal is a mostly misused word, ...I think it would be more likely that JC would disengage from the public spectacle of political side taking and get back to the basic... do unto others.
