It's a huge book because it's a huge subject. Everybody is terrified of Organic. However the rumors probably exceed reality. It's actually the lab that's usually the killer. Just so you know, the terror of Organic pales in comparison to the terror of PChem.
Over the classroom doors, you'll find "Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here".
Kidding. Sort of.

nah- I took organic chem 1 and 2 with labs- it does take a year, but its not that bad. Basically, if you try not to be absent and take great notes with drawings- you will do fine. Flip through the book- it is huge becasue the drawings take up alot of room.

o-chem book is usually at least 1000 pages, but u are gonna take it over a year, not just a semster. Relax...
