I want an ipod but i don't have $200+ to spend and i don't want to give away my credit card # and join offer to get a free one. i keep loosing my ebay auctions for one and ideas on how to get my hands on one. The best answer to this one that works gets 10 points

Consider going to a used electronics store. Amazon has a "Buy used and new" section but you probably won't cut the price by much. Look in your paper's classifieds; you just might find someone trying to get rid of their ipod. Go to yard sales too......sometimes you find some pretty neat stuff. Keep trying at eBay......you may want to buy one that's just a little scuffed up to save on the price. Your only other options really are to save up your money or buy an ipod Nano or Shuffle.

get a refurbished ipod from Apple, a 30 GB costs $199 instead of $299. Go 2 their Promos page and check it out

What most people don't realize is that iPod is just a brand name. There are definitely cheaper things out there that basically do the same thing as iPod.

I bought my husband one that had been returned to Best Buy (box was opened was the only thing wrong). They mark the price down like $10 every week....I got it $40 off the regular price.

buy a refurbished one from the refurbished section of the apple website. you can buy a 1gb iPOD nano for $109 w/free shipping and 1 year warranty. Its refurbished but its basically brand new because they change the casing,screen,and battery so it looks new.

Try Goodwill, my friend found a video ipod, regularly between $300 -$400, he got it for $60. It was mint condition too.

You can use a trick to get iTunes music on another mp3 player...
1. Burn CD's (or reuse a CDRW) of your iTunes music
2. Import the music int o that MP3 player's perferred media player
3. If you used a CDRW, erase it. Don't wear it out, though!

try and buy one from a friend.. look at some stores, they always have sales.... u can get one and make payments on it... search online for the stores in u area that will have cheaper ones...
