If you definition of "free and unbounded" is an absolute one, then in order to live a life free and unbounded by others, you would have to remove from yourself the consciousness of others.

If you think this is not possible, then its not possible to live free and unbounded by others. Because if your consciousness isn't free, then you are not free.

The root of all of man's pain is wanting what he cannot have. Jealousy, anger, bitterness, regret and grief are all rooted in desire. Once you figure out how to life a life of simplicity without the pursuit of what you do not need, then you will be free. Until then, there's always the ball to the face. :-)

It is normal to be interdependant on others, and for others to be dependant on yourself. But I suspect the best way to be entirely independant and free is to adopt an air of selfish indifference, and become a hermit.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Thank you for a laugh!

But seriously, humans cannot be free of others, or we wouldn't be humans. We are social animals who are, in a sense, doomed to bear each other's presence. Humans depend on each other for everything, so it's practically impossible to be self-sufficient. Even Descartes couldn't formulate his introspective philosophy without learning the language first.

well man. Lifes like this... It's better to have loveed and lost then never loved at all. So pick one? The only thing on earth tat doesn't die is our souls. Everything is just dust in the wind.. so you'll be rich if you invest in others souls.... be a good person to others love with all your heart... be a good friend.

I am my own person. I'm cautious and particular on who I have in my life. I keep my loved ones happy and I respect their decisions. I listen more than I speak. I enjoy life as it is dealt to me and I always wake up with a smile. I have freedom because I allow everybody in my life to have freedom. I give more than I take and I love being me.
