Is it at all possible to be just bestfriends with the opposite sex?

yeh its possible. i have male friends and i know we'll never have that kind of attraction towards each other. most of the time it ay turn to a relationship, but yes, guys and girls can b friends, or as u put it, jst friends.......

I'm female and have more male friends than female but its good to have friendships with both... i don't know why assumptions are made of a friendship is sexual anymore ???being and having a friend of any age any sex ,any origin is great shine

Yes, to a point. But such a relationship involves a great amount of tact and diplomacy in the earlier stages, because you don't want any of your actions to be misread.

As a guy I have to say "no". The sexual attraction will either turn the relationship into a "relationship", or it will turn either of the participants off to other person.
