I am not a hockey fan but I was angry because they allowed them to dress Wm Penn on top of the city hall in their uniform. I told my son-in-law that I hope that they lost. He blamed me for their lost. Can you believe that.

that was when they lost to the red wings in the stanley cup. i think it was in 1996. they got swept and it was really embarrassing.

I know it happened but don't really remember it. Guess I'm too used to them winning. Any way, I thought the William Penn jersey was imaginative and didn't feel offended about that or when the city officials decided not to honor the "gentleman's agreement" that prevented the construction of buildings designed to be taller than W.P.
