is there a way i can get out of negative numbers

Pay off your cap penalty. After you finish a season and go to the off season menu, there should be a thing in Team Info where you can press CIRCLE to clear the penalty. I had a -27million cap room because I traded my starting QB for some draft picks...gave me a 19million cap penalty added to what I already got before that...cleared it and I quickly got into positive numbers. That was a while ago though, my salary cap right now is like 172million...it's hard to go over now.

Cut some players and stop signing so many big contracts. Or just turn the cap off, but I think from what I remeber of Madden, you have to do that in the beginning of the dynasty.

Well first off get rid of your really expensive players. That's what really gets the cap down.

For players with a yr left edit their position. For example change your star QB to a CB. His value will go down because his rating will change. After you're done signing them change em back to their reg. position.
Star QB with a 95 rating - 9m/yr
star qb turned cb with a rating of 60- 900k/yr

Start trading some big contracts for small ones. Cut players. Don't sign guys to huge contracts...try signing them for multiple years instead. Maybe they will go for that instead.

I have the same problem. the way i usually do it is get rid of some of the higher paid people and get younger lesser paid people. if that doesnt work you better start to win so u can get higher team revenues! good luck.
