So, I just read the rest of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince... you were all right of course it wasn't Voldemort.. but I'm devastated by the ending and actually I knew about Dumbledore - but the way it happened ... what did you all think? I'm hoping this means that Snape and Voldemort will die in book 7 ... and why don't Ron and Hermione just date already!

I was really mad about Dumbledore dying, but I think it was all part of the plan. He didn't even try to do anything against Malfoy, then even begged Snape to go through with it. it seems like he sacrificed himself, and I think Snape is still on the side of good, just made sure nobody will ever again doubt his allegiance to Voldemort. I'm sure Voldemort will die in the next book, so many children read these that J.K. will not let evil win in the end, however I think Harry may die as well. He has no family, and his death could be the thing to really mend the rift in the wizarding world, making him a sort of martyr. Plus, J.K. won't want anybody writing more Harry Potter books in the future, which they won't be able to do if he's dead.

I'm not sure about why Sanpe killed Dumbledore, but he (Dumbledore) is dead. JK said so in that NYC interview. I don't think Snape is evil though...either he'll redeem himself in the end or we'll get some new information about what was going on before he did it.

Ron and Hermonie complete each other. They're probably waiting for things to settle down. I mean, if one of them dies, while they're dating, on the horocrux search and the other doesn't, he/she might not be much help to Harry. They can't be distracted by romance while tring to defet Voldemort, the most evil wizard of all time! That's partly why Harry broke up with Ginny, that and he didn't want to put her in any more danger then she already was.

We'll just have to wait for book 7 to really figure it all out, I can't wait!

Yeah I was mad Dumbledore died too...J.K. Rowlings said 2 people die in the 7th book. I hope it's Voldemort bc then the books could end, bc killing him was basically the plot or some variation of the plot for every book. I kinda think Ron or Hermione might die too, maybe after they date or something. Otherwise it would be Harry, Ron, nd Hermione all happy nd "together forever" which would be boring nd totally fake. Plus she's been slowly killing off Harry's close group of friends nd family since his birth, which means one of them are long overdue.

Congrats on finishing the 6th book! I think that Ron and Hermione are already dating.
I think that we may be surprised by who dies in the last book. Some are speculating that JK is going to kill off Harry and Voldemort.....you know one can't exist without the other. I guess we will know by 7/7/07.

I actually thought there was much more going on between them than what we see in book 6. I think they will be dating by book 7 if they are not already. As for Snape, believe it or not I think he is still on the side of good & this terrible thing happened for a very good reason.

Well, when I first read it I actually felt as if my best friend died, and I was sad for like a week.

And another thing Harry and Hermione belong together not Ron...

I think Snape will sacrifice himself in book 7 to save Harry.

No, I don't really think that Ron and Hermonie would make a good couple, they fight way too much. I wonder if Harry will leave the Muggles now that he's coming of age. I would really like it if a 8th book were too come out.
