i want to have a coffee table book about coffee tables. here's the kicker, the book has legs, and it turns into a coffe table. how original is that?

You could probably get it at Target or Bed Bath & Beyond! It is a book that has legs that looks like a coffee table but is a book that you set on a coffee table! Wow that is a cute wacky orginal invention! (or Borders!)

Hmm, sounds pretty original. My thought is how is your engineering? Sound like it would either have to rather large and bulky or thin and flimsy. I mean, I assume you would have to have the legs fold up flush when closed. Or will you just accept the raised legs and hinges? This one I dunno. I would not be one I would build...or have in my house for that fact.

That's cool. Now all you have to do is get it patented. If you don't someone could steal your idea and there would be nothing you could do about it.

that would depend on your other decorations. Is your room classy or lived in...if it is family friendly then i think it would be fine.
