I don't mean anything crap such as a triangle.
But a proper instrument, such as a guitar, drums, flute, etc.
Please name a few easy ones if possible.

Well I know how to play both the guitar, and the drums. Personally, I think the drums is the easier of the two. I hated learning the guitar! Any other instrument I have no clue about, sorry! ;-)

Trumpet is pretty easy to pick up and play. Flute is hard to get started on because you have to figure out how to blow and that takes ages. Saxaphone is pretty in the middle. All brass except trombone or tuba are pretty simple. If you are looking for a idiot proof instrment, go with drums. Heres a joke about drummers.
Son: I want to be a drummer when I grow up!
Mom: I'm sorry honey you can't do both.
So if you do drums, be prepared to be laughed at, and teased even by the band director. So good luck, what ever you choose!
(I play flute, but my own dad's a band director.)

It really depends on your personal skills.

Piano - you will need to be able to decipher each finger from your hand as a separate entity from your hand. Your left pinky needs to be able to move independently from your right index finger, for example. Also, the hardest part, you need to know how to read music.

Violin - must have an excellent ear, and a very soft touch. The keying is fairly easy, may need to stretch the hand a bit, but mostly it's the "fairness" and the "ease" at which you play, which is usually very difficult to master the "right touch."

Guitar - need to be able to coordinate your strumming, and be able to listen to the "up and down" strums "beats" of a song. Some decent hand stretching, and a lot of discipline b/c it's too easy to get lost in popular music than it is to really learn it.

Drums - need to be able to separate your hands and feet from each other, and maintain an individual beat with each one. If you're not good at keeping track of separate beats you won't be good here.

Mostly, pick one up, and practice like there's no tommorow. That will make you a decent player, regardless of what you pick.

I play the electric guitar and bass guitar. They are both pretty easy, I also played the piano, which is nice and easy for me as well, but I think maybe it depends on the person who wants to learn. You have to be willing, so try something out, and if you are willing to work at it, it'll be easy.

I play piano ... I play and compose music, by ear. If you try it and like it...and practice it, it will make it all easier. As for what is actually the easiest instrument to play, probably windpipes. Drums too I think...if you can feel the beat. You gotta try it to know.

Learning an instrument is hard. Just face the facts, it's going to take some work.

i play so many instruments. but the easiest is the piano. iv been taking it for less as much time as my uncoordinated cousin, and im already on a WAY higher level than her. but u could try recorder, violin, guitar, handbells, or drums. i play all of those, and they r all pretty much easy.

The piano is the best all around instrument to learn. None of them are "easy", but the piano will let you branch off to others if you wish.
