the UK is heading that way, if more people took a little time to understand politics and to be aware that this could happen it could be stopped, not like German people they stood by and did nothing, and then it was to late by voting we have the power. just put your x on the ballot paper it does not matter which party just put the x on the paper

Democracy is not best demonstrated by the electoral process - just take a look at the scandals we've had recently, and in the past. Added to that once in power the politicians seem to become ever more corrupted.

But then I am reminded of the famous quote: "power corrupts but absolute power corrupts absolutely"

I forget who said that and I may have it slightly wrong, but nevertheless if we ever lose our 'freedoms' we would soon complain!

Yes, it does. Just not many would vote for them. Besides that, you would need a lot of support to do such a thing. But yes...someone who has those types of political views are allowed to run if they go through all of the proper steps.

In the States they don't, that one reason why the KKK was banned.
In England we do, thats why the BNP have a legal party. In a minority, but they exist.

If enough people feel strongly enough to let them get into power then thats their lookout - I plan to leave the country if it happens though!
