HI all,
Is the South-central region of USA (Texas panhandle) suffering through a TIC infestation (due to the drought) this year?
%My Great Dane is picking up more TICS from outside so I am getting worried.
How, besides adding BUG KILLER to the yard and dousing him with Paramite chemicals can I try to protect him from this (possibly dangerous) insect?
How (what different?) groundcover can I place on the caliche that will not absorb the summertime heat that will not require me to use more water? - REMEMBER, we are going through a drought! =:-o

Definetly use Frontline Plus for your dog. You can also ask your vet for the Lyme's vaccination. We have ticks in NJ just as bad, it seems. Also, fleas and ticks hate garlic, so you can give your dog a clove every day. I think Drs. Fosters and Smith catalog has a garlic pill as well as the Frontline products.

We have them bad here in Illinois, too. And I've seen them in differents states, too. Not just this year either. I just think it's all over the U.S. I'm not sure which is the best one for your dog.

I think its safer to give your dog garlic pill than to use bug killer.
