They grow on trees, I used to see them everyday going to high school. I guess they grow good in hot weather.

It's a palm tree, but I don't know the technical name for it. I've had banana trees in the past, but not at this new place where I live yet. Warning, they WILL take over the place if you're not careful. They tend to spread rapidly.

Bananas for North America come from Central and South America (Honduras, Costa Rica, Columbia, Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, Panama, and Nicaragua,
Actually, bananas grow on plants that are giant herbs. Related to the lily and orchid family.
