society has taught us that it's fun and you shouldn't worry about pregnancy.

I think having children is one of the purposes of sex, I also think it is to keep a relationship cemented, especially in marriage and for fun.
Those three things can be separated, believe it or not!

It is the ultimate intended consequence.
Evolution wired us up to find sex very pleasurable to ensure we would have it often and reproduce. That makes pleasure the reason we have sex. We can decide if pregancy was a mistake, or an intended outcome, of our quest for pleasure.

When I use birth control the purpose of sex is to get off.

Maybe for devout Catholics and some others, the main reason (or sole one??) for having sex is to procreate. But be realistic...people have sex for more reasons than that! Fun, release of pent-up energy, to show love, etc.

good question...they say it was a mistake because they didnt want to get pregnant but because of neglect or a faulty contraceptive...it happened anyway...therefore leaving them with the only answer they can muster up...it was a mistake...lets just hope they dont tell the child this

Because the condom bursted and the flood waters accidently got inside the house. Therefore it was unplanned and therefore a mistake.

Cause people look for an excuse as why it happened. And the phase It was a misstake is the best they could come up with.

these people are chicken . they want to get down and nasty but when they result comes out they ran away or refuse to face their responsibilities leaving the children to suffer. if you are having sex, you should what you are getting into and the result.
