My friend is pregnant what shoud I give her for a baby shower.

Something not everyone is going to give her. Something original that will make her eyes pop, or just something that she isn't getting already.

Check and see if she is registered at Walmart or Target (or someplace similar). Then you can give her exactly what she wants. Otherwise you can't have too many diapers and wipes. Size 1 diapers are safe and newborn wipes (big economy sized box) are great. She may not know what kind of bottles she wants to use until the baby comes so they aren't as universal as a present. A package of Gerber cloth diapers make great burp cloths, and you can never have too many of them.

Get her a gift certificate for one or more of these:
1. Wal-Mart type store for general necessities.
2. Macy's etc or a baby specialty store.
3. A photo studio.
4. A spa massage/beauty salon appt, and you provide the baby sitter.
5. Victoria's Secret.

Diapers, baby wipes a must then just about anything else, bottles, bibs, new born clothes, booties, baby book, receiving blankets, wash cloths and baby towels, gift certificates. But trust me on this one, all new mothers need plenty of diapers, get some disposable and cloth.

The question is how much do U want to spend. U could get her anything like a bath tub, baby clothing, a walker or just diapers and wipes.

Diapers and/or clothes. newborns are too young to appreciate toys, if mom breastfeeds then food is taken care of. If you want to give a gift to the mom and not the baby, give something that makes mom feel beautiful.

The most practical things are great like diapers, wipes, sleepers, onsies, bibs, bottles, etc. If you don't know if it is a boy or girl then buy yellow, green clothes. Nuetral colors.

Although not a pretty, lacy, flowery type gift. I'd say $$$$$$$ within a nice card. She's gonna need the cash honey.
