Van halen is my favorite band. Who's their best singer? Well it wasn't Gary Cherone thats for sure. I love Sammy & David both. With Sammy their were more number 1 albums. Sammy is my favorite too.

I'm a huge hager fan but Van Halen without David Lee Roth is like a soda without ice

regardless of Eddie (he is great) Van Halen died a long time ago
But Van Hagar has been doing well

Dave wrote better lyrics. Sammy had a better voice.
The music was better when the band was young and fresh especially Ed's sound and playing.
I liked them with Sammy, but I was a fan long before he joined.
The radio plays mostly Dave era songs.
I'll give the nod to Dave.
