I had an ovulation surge (via ovulation kit urine stick) yesterday during the day. Today at 6am and again at 1:00pm today. Does that mean ovulation hasn't occurred yet or could have ?

It means you will ovulate in the next 24 to 48 hours so get busy and good luck.

the surge of hormones is what causes the egg to be released, that usually occures within 36 hours of the surge.
