on the internet, can you really get one without it being a scam, or giving away your credit card number or something?

It all depends on what you mean by scam... normally you can get a *free ipod if you fill out a form that includes you email address and if you sign up for other offers. Like you have to subscribe to a magazine, or do some online insurance thing, or sign up for this and that and that. It's not like you can just fill out a little bit of info and they'll send you a free ipod, there is always something else you have to do that about 99.99% of the time costs money. So while they aren't scams so much, they aren't necessarily Free either!

If you read the fine print, you get it by "participating," which means you have to subscribe to a bunch of services or get a credit card from them and buy a certain amount of stuff with it, and you also usually have to get some other people join in to the scam. After that, you may get some iPod, probably either a shuffle or some low-memory model that Apple no longer sells.

Either that or it's one of those deals that only pay you off if you recruit 5 people into the scam, and each of THOSE people get 5 people, and then THOSE people do the same, for at least 5 "levels," after which you get the iPod. This could take years, if it's even for real. Total scam.

no it is a scam to get you too take the sponsors deals, ever notice the small print says you must complete two offers after completion and acceptance we will send you your free I-pod. Well that is just it, you have to get approved for a credit card, just doing the app is not enough you must get approved, or purchase a vacation from one of there travel agents. Or become a member of one of the video clubs, Which clearly states you have to purchase so many at regular club price. Things like that so buy the time you complete the offers you could have went and bought an i-pod for the money you would spend trying to get a "free" one.

To get one you have to give away alot of personal information. You have to complete offer which you need to pay for then you have to refer alot of people to do the same thing.
