Since 1948, America has given 140 bn dollars to Israel so obviously Israel benefits from this relationship but what does America get out of this?

A lot of money in weapons contracts.
The US Government has no restrictions on the ability of US companies to engage in mutual weapons manufacturing and cooperation with the Israeli government. It also has a great deal of unilateral aid from the US to Israel at present. Currently, 30% of all the aid given to Israel is directly returned to US weapons manufacturers in the form of direct purchases of military hardware.
The more we support Israel, the more R&D we can do on new weapons, the more we can sell Israel, the more Israel can buy from us and the more money weapons companies make. Not only can they buy tons and tons of weapons, but they can also try it all out on a captive region.
In addition to the military-industrial complex, there is also a strategic goal in the region. By keeping Israel powerful in the region, the US continues to have a location that it can launch offensives against other countries, provides a staging ground for future air operations around the world, and also provides an excellent launching point for any ground operations that may be necessary in the region to retake key areas such as the Sinai peninsula, oil and gas fields in the Persian Gulf and it also prevent Arab countries from reuniting under a neo-ottoman regional power.

a lot of international business and R&D is done between the two countries. Plus Israel is right in the heart of the middle east, and it is in the US's benefit to have some influence there to counterbalance the influence of other countries such as China, Russia, Iran, etc. Plus, Israel needs our help being surrounded by a bunch of countries who want to destroy them. Beleive it or not, the US actually gives a lot of money away just to help those in need.

Well, the idea is that Jesus will come sooner because it fufills certain things in the bible, however these guys are nuts...The part I like is that its an actual democracy so they atleast have a better gov't then around.

We get an ally against terrorists, if we had more like israel terrorism probably wouldn't be so rampant.
