At school I'm in many extra curriculars- key club, national honor society, FACT, student council, drama, mock trial, and debate.

For church I- teach sunday school, president of my church's youth group, was just elected vicepresident of our synod's youth group (about 100 churches), and sing on our youth praise team

In school I- am ranked 2nd in my class, get straight A's, as a sophmore in highschool I will be taking classes such as pre-calc, and chemistry.

Most people couldn't ask more from their children, but mine, want more. Much more. They are telling me I need to volunteer more, I should study more, I should excersice more. I only have so much time. I don't know how much more I can handle. Should I take on more activities to please my parents? Do I need more to get into a good college?

Your parents really want what's best for you. I think they are trying to keep you busy so that you won't get into trouble. I am sure they are very proud of you but keeping you active also keeps you away from drugs, boys and bad influences.

Gosh I hate parents like yours...they should be proud that you are doing so much at such a young age..I know when I was your age I was out partying every weekend. My parents would have loved to have a child like you! I think that you need to sit your parents down and have a serious heart to heart convo with them telling them how you feel. Explain to them in a nice way that you cant take on anymore activities or you think that you school work will suffer..they want you to get into a good college right?? Just explain to them that you are doing a whole lot more then most kids you age and your platter is full. I have to give your props for all those things you are doing..I wish I could have been more like you at your age!

Sounds like everyones just trying to stress you out. Don't worry about what your parent's say. Chances are none of the things that they want you to do are life threating, so just take one thing at a time and do your best as only you know how.

That sounds like a terrible way to live, always being pushed. I wouldn't do any more activities, only do what you want to do. You will get burnt out at this pace, take it easy.

Please come be my child. You are doing great. Don't stretch yourself anymore you don't want to burn out before you have a change to enjoy life.
