My wifes baby shower had a massive pretend cake made out of nappies!
They were rolled up and made into tiers - it looked wicked!! They also had cheap baby bottles full of sweets!
Lots of tea and cake and photos of the mum to be at various stages throughout their life!!

one game I love over and over again is the guess the baby's sex, height, weight and delivery date....if you know the baby's sex you can subtract that one from the game. Then after the baby arrives give a prize to the winner! Another one is to make a tray full of baby items and let everyone look at them for one min. Then take the tray away and have everyone write down all the items they remember. The person with the most items correct wins!

Do not play the stupid 1950s baby shower games (string around the stomach, draw the baby on a plate on your head, etc). Go out for a nice lunch, chat with each other, give the new mother presents. End of story.

Good games that are tired and true are to blind-fold people and sit them down and give them a large serving spoon and have them transfer cotton balls from the floor into the bowl, also you can have them guess how many sheets of toilet paper will fit around the mommy to be's stomach and you can have them put clothes line pins in between their knees and have them walk 10 steps and try to get them in a container with a small hole ( and they cant use their hands)...as for food I think a large sandwich ala subway works great....I hope this helps!

Have a baby bottle race!
-Participants see who can drink their bottle the fastest. Think punch or apple juice. Have a cheap prize.
Have Baby Charades!
-Participants act out things babies do, like crawling and being born, crying, etc..
Play don't say BABY!
-Take one dollar from each person attending. Each person pins their dollar on their shirt at the beginning of the shower. If another participant hears you say baby, and says so, they get to take your dollar and pin it to themself! You can and up with a nice little money prize this way.
Advice Book!
-Have a guest book to sign in (blank journal), with different topics heading the tops of different pages. Along with their signature, each person needs to give you a bit of advice on the topic at the top of the page.
FOOD
-Whatever the mom-to-be likes!!! Try to pick her favorites!
Guess the flavor!
-Have different types of baby food on hand and plenty of plastic spoons. Each participant tastes the food, and writes down what they think the flavor is. At the end, read what they actually are! (Think Tutti Frutti!)
Word scramble!
-Make word scramble out of pregnancy and baby words, copy for everyone, and see who gets the most in two minutes.

try playing pin the daiper on a balloon-balloon has to have vaseline on it pretty tricky huh,finger foods made with food coloring-blue-pink-yellow.try giving baby bootles little size -put bubbles in them-sorry i ran out of ideas my mind went blank

dont have just a baby shower have a diaper party--everybody that comes must bring a package of diapers......one memorable game that we played was the diaper candybar game.....using snickers, milkyway, chocolate bars of assorted kinds and placing them in a diaper then microwave them until the are somewhat melted, mush them in a diaper(one for each candy bar) and have your guests see if they can tell which candy bar in is which diaper. they can smell, touch, and even taste!! it looks gross(like poopie)but then it just a candy bar....

That was very wicked but I liked the advice you gave him.
