I know they land on your face or hands and it's disgusting! I hate the little germ infested pests! I try to kill them but it seems like whenever you kill one another one magically appears!

So do all the other flies that you haven't noticed until one started buzzing you!
Almost without exception, we see and are annoyed by the fly that is paying attention to us. Then we track it and watch and plot to swat it. During all this process, we ignore all the other flies and bugs.
Proof: Where did ALL THOSE BUGS COME FROM that cooked themselves to death inside the light fixture? We never noticed them.

I've got one buzzing around me right now too!! But I also have a steaming pile of dog squeeze right here on my desk too. Could that be the reason?
