Mozilla is a web browser program - a program for viewing webpages (in the same way Microsoft Word is a program for viewing, creating and editing documents).
You can use Internet Explorer and Mozilla on the same computer without any problems.
You can download the installer from www.mozilla.com. Once you have downloaded the file, run it and it will install Mozilla for you.
Mozilla is a great program. The main reason to use it is because your computer is left much LESS susceptible to spyware, adware etc. (nasty programs that install themself on your computer without your knowledge or permission) while you are surfing the net.
It also happens to be (in my opinion) a MUCH nicer program to use than Internet Explorer.
There are still a (very) few sites out there that won't work well with Mozilla so if you come across any of these you will HAVE to use Internet Explorer. But in the most part you can use Mozilla as a direct replacement for Internet Explorer.
Give it a try.

In my opinion Mozilla is a much nicer piece of software than I.E and has a greater functionality and customisation although the new I.E 7 has made strides to catch-up with the inclusion of tabbed browsing. I've been using Mozilla/Firefox for about a year now and have just started to use Opera. It has many of the same functions of Firefox but has a few things Mozilla doesn't such as an in-built rss feed reader. The only issue I have with Opera is that it will not load the yahoo mail beta, which is hopefully something that will be resolved in the future (hint hint to whoever is responsible). So for my yahoo mail account I switch back to Firefox and for my hotmail mail beta account I have to go all the way back to I.E. All three co-exist on my PC quite happily.
Give it a go you'll probably like it.

Download it, and then you will have two icons. One for Mozilla and one for I.E. and you can still use both. You want to keep I.E. on the computer because there are still a few things that wont work with Mozilla. Certain webpages wont come up, yadda yadda yadda. But I've found Mozilla is a lot better. I've had less virus' and spam since I started using it. Not to mention you can dl funky skins for the tool bars. Teehee. But yeah, it's better, but dl and keep both on your computer!!

Mozilla Firefox has a reputation for being much more immune to virus infections. I use it at home, and my school has recently converted to using it. Since these people (The Spot! in Capitola, California) are real computer software experts, I trust their judgment on this.
I suppose there is no reason to actually de-install (is that the term?) Internet Explorer, but I never use mine anymore. The school has both on their computers, so it is clearly possible to have both. You will need to set up which one you want to be the default.

All you have to do to use Mozilla (Firefox) is go to the website http://www.getfirefox.com/ and click the Download link, after its installed it's just like IE. Double click Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer, and browse like you normally would. It probably won't even look very different :)

yes to all, but with mozilla, you can add extensions, like all buttons have a roadsign theme, my favorite, morning coffee, opens a tab for all of your favorite bookmarked pages with one click.
Firefox really rocks, besides it is not microsoft.

Answer is yes. Once installed, it's click and run.
You might consider Firefox instead. Both both are excellent.
