History is always being created, day by day, one bit at a time. Today's current events and news stories become tomorrow's history.

No! There is saying that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Perhaps if some of our world leaders (past and present) had paid attention in history class, some of the negative events in our world's history would not have happened. Look at France. Germany invaded France twice using almost the same tactic each time. If France had studied just their immediate history, perhaps they could have avoided a second invasion. Imagine the potential of knowing more about our past. Study the history of the town you live in, and I bet you will learn a lot and be amazed.

History is about the past
history repeats itself
people can avoid mistakes by knowing history (eg, invading Russia in midwinter is a bad idea)
Things that are happening today will be in the history books of the future

yes partly, but history can be the future in another form. studying and analysing history can stop us from making past mistakes and from noticing anythingwrong like constant conflicts, But i see ur point that it is a thing of the past and is a bit boring,

no, because the only way you can learn is through history. If no one had written down what has become history, we would not know about the Romans, Greek, and multiple scientific breakthroughs by Newton, Galileo, and other scientist.
