Why do people make stupid generalizations about entire races or countries? Can you honestly tell me you have met every single American and every single one makes a big deal out of everything? I think not, cut out the assumptions.

Not all of them are like that,but some of them think that everything & everyone American has to be bigger,better & louder than anyone else.We get a lot of American tourists where I live,& most of them are normal.

Actually my only American friend is really quiet and isn't even a little bit over-dramatic. However she married someone's who's completely extroverted and he's Scottish!

because our country is the most powerful in the world, and the people in it act like it. if something like september 11 happened in say a country in africa, yeah people would be like that's terrible but they wouldn't start a war over it like we did. something happens to us and we have to pay a person back, our presidents do it, politicians do it and us citizens look to see what they do and they are our leaders so of course we will follow

It really depends on who it is. The media overdramatizes things and tv shows, but most regular old Americans are boring. They NEED something dramatic to see cause our lives are pretty darn dull.

Have you ever heard an American start a sentence with "I'm sorry to bother you, but..." or "I don't want to make a fuss, but..." or " Sorry to be a big head, but I think I know this one...."
