To encourage participation and reward great answers, Yahoo! Answers has a system of points and levels. The number of points you get depends on the specific action you take.
You earn:
2pts for providing an answer to a question.
1pt for voting for a best answer
1pt daily for signing into answers
10pts if your answer is chosen as best answer to a question
While you can't use points to buy or redeem anything, they do allow everyone to recognize how active and helpful you've been. (And you do need pts to ask questions).
Also, in case you didn't know, it cost 5 points to ask a question. (But, you can get 3 pts back if you select a "best answer" so it's a net loss of 2 pts).
Good luck and have fun!

It makes learning a game. Any time something worthwhile is packaged as entertainment, people will naturally want to participate.
There are draw backs, especially when midnight draws near, and people searching for points weigh in with one word answers to use up their "quota" for the day.

i think of she ought to such as you! i think of you need to proceed to speak to her and notice how issues go. She sounds large beautiful and advantageous. If she positioned your drawings it the two ability that she likes you because of fact she saved and treasures your drawings, or that she became purely being advantageous. additionally, in regards to the cardboard concern, i think of she rather needs a card from you. in line with risk you are able to incorporate something beautiful or advantageous in it. i think of while she suggested, "you are able to call me every time" that it meant that she likes chatting with you. i do no longer possibly be responsive to what her tone became, yet seems such as you 2 have a genuine destiny!

They don't have any value. It's just to let others know how involved you are.
