Um, I'm struggling!! I just got BT broadband today and it's created a new Yahoo account, new Bt email address etc. How the hell do I check my existing Yahoo account when it won't let me sign out and then sign in under my old account? It's driving me insane, I want to check my email!! HHEEELLPPP!

Ok. Sign out of Broadband until you see the SIGN IN logo in the middle of your screen. Click on the Yahoo icon on the toolbar. Type "Mail" in the search bar and then it should give you an option to type in your username and password for Yahoo mail. This is what I do. Bit long winded but the only way I know.

Don't use Internet Explorer as your default browser. Bypass the whole BT Yahoo! thing by downloading, installing and using the free Mozilla Firefox browser. Then YOU are in control of your internet and e-mail access.

Internet Explorer will still be directly available should you want to use it. Also, you can always open IE specific sites such as microsoft.com by using the "always open in IE" option within Firefox.

You'll figure it out eventually. BT Yahoo! Broadband is a restrictive pain, but at least the support is free.
